I have a 99 GSXR-600...I love it...I hear that the 2001 Are just unbelivable (lighter and a bit more hp) I haven't riden one yet. I do have some input on the other bikes, you mentioned. The R6 is a really nice bike, but hard to get, and you usally pay more money than they are worth. The Ninja is a ok bike, but has a really funky power band, it comes on strong all of a sudden, and you sit up right more. The GSXR is very aggresive feeling...You seem to crouch over more than the other bike, the reason I ended up with the GSXR, I like the aggresive stance and the GSRX feels like there is something under you, where as the other bikes feel liek there is nothing under you. The powerband on the GIXXER is very smooth. With the stock gears it is difficult to get the front wheel up in 2nd or 3rd, but drop 2 teeth in the front and it will come up all day long!!! Mostly bikes are personal preference. Unfortunately the dealerships won't let you test ride bikes. Sit on all of them and see how you feel, make sure you put both feet on the pegs and act liek you are riding when you do it. A good bike forum is [ www.esportbike.com ] See ya, Aaron
